I’m a freelance website developer from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I’m not French though! (although I am spoken and written in French) Can you believe it? I’m from an English suburb on the West end of Montreal.
I used to be a competitive alpine ski racer, a competitive swimmer and a competitive soccer player. What happened? Skiing happened! Well, not just skiing. I became bored with swimming and my soccer career was going nowhere. Not only did skiing take over my winters along with my summer’s and fall’s, but it was also (and remains) my favorite sport.
While all of this confusion with sports was going on during my life, I got into computer gaming. Mainly Quake 3. It was awesome. I started to join clans (groups of gamers that fight other groups of gamers) and then I would make my own clans, and then one day I got to the point where I needed a website for one of my clans. So I made one. That was it, I was hooked on HTML.
Since then I’ve evolved to more interesting things and languages (other than English and French of course). I currently program/script/write PHP, Python, Javascript, Actionscript, CSS, XHTML (XML too, but it’s basically XHTML), and I dabble with Flash.
